Nicholas Azagra (middle) announcing the 20 winners of this year's fashion show
Coming to our second-to-last month before the school year ends, Teacher Barish hosted her annual fashion show in the auditorium on May 2nd. Every year she works with Stage and Studio to create a runway for her students’ work to be displayed. With it being a fairly new annual event, it has gained a lot of traction among Barristers.
Nicholas Azagra was the announcer of this year’s show. With his amazing stage presence, he made this event more lively compared to previous fashion shows.

When taking Design Crafts with Teacher Barish, she will most definitely encourage you to make a piece that you can show off to the whole school.
One of her students, Maheem Mir, gave some insight on what students think and feel about the show. He expressed he was “scared about his piece not being liked… but couldn’t wait for the audience’s reaction.”
Teacher Barish’s plans on having students feature more than one piece of clothing to make next year’s fashion show bigger. She also hopes for her students to see how fun it is to participate in school events.
This year’s event also incorporated For Your Entertainment, John Marshall’s dance team, and the newly created choir to perform during the intermission. Their performance was met with roaring applause. We hope to see more of them in future events. Otherwise, this Fashion Show can be considered a resounding success, with many Barristers looking forward to the next show.
