As fires tore through Southern California, everyday life was disrupted, and activities like running were put on hold due to the hazardous environment outside. However, as the fires have settled, a new normal has emerged, with old routines and activities returning. As a result, many Students Run Los Angeles teams came together to hold a makeup race in Griffith Park. With a distance of 12.9 to 13.1 miles, it was a grueling but fun experience for the runners involved but a welcome return to normalcy from the uncertainty of the fires.
